A night balcony gives depth without any effort. The railing sits in front, the skyline sits behind, and the distance between them makes the figure look like the center of the city. The mistake most people make is letting the view take over, so the lights become the subject and the person becomes a silhouette.

- Night as black: a dark photo gives a dark clip. Include one warm source on the face.
- Railing cut off: without the edge in frame the height disappears. Keep the rail visible in the reference photo.
- Too much happening: a crowd, a car, a plane and a fountain compete. Pick one moving element besides the person.
