Use a sharp, front-lit close-up
Eyes open, face clearly lit, no heavy shadow across the cheek. A sharp photo gives the stones a clean surface to reflect light.
Name the spot and keep it off the eyes
Say “one small gem on the left cheekbone, eyes uncovered”. Naming the spot and keeping the eyes clear stops the gem from drifting.

Mistakes that make face gems look pasted on
Most failures come from placement and light:
- A gem placed on the lid or lashes, which blocks the eye and looks wrong in motion.
- Harsh light from above, which pulls a hard shadow under the cheek and hides the stone.
- Stones that are too large for the face, so they read as stickers.
- Fast head movement, which blurs the glint into a smear. Keep the turns slow.

Face gem questions
Will the gem move with my face?
In most clips it does, because the model tracks the face. Keep the head movement slow and name the spot, and the stone stays with that area.
Can I choose the color of the stones?
Yes. “Clear”, “silver” or “rose” are the usual choices. Describe the color in the prompt and the stone will read in that tone under the light.
Why does the stone look like a sticker?
Usually the stone is too big, the light is too flat, or the skin in the photo is over-smoothed. Try a smaller gem, a side light and a less retouched source photo.
Can I add lipstick to the same clip?
You can ask for both, but keep the rest of the face simple. One detail with a clear focus reads better in a short vertical clip than several competing details.
Can I use a photo of a real person who has not agreed?
No. Only adults who agreed to appear can be shown. Lookalikes and celebrities are refused.
